Emil Georg Koklin
1925 - 1943
Emil Georg Koklin was born on 17 November 1925 at Nordstrand in Oslo. His parents were Ida (b. Becker 1887 in Latvia) and Benjamin Koklin (b. 1891 in Latvia). He was the youngest of five siblings; Charles (b. 1914), Gitel (b. 1916), Ruth (b. 1919) and Julius (b. 1922). The family later moved to Tønsberg.
Emil worked at Kaldne's mechanical workshop as a plumber's apprentice. In 1942 he also attended technical evening school.
Emil Georg Koklin was arrested on 26 October 1942 and sent to Berg internment camp. A month later he was deported on the D/S Donau to Stettin and from there to the extermination camp Auschwitz. Here he perished in January 1943.
